Resolution The Cisco HWIC-AP 802.11G and HWIC-AP 802.11A/B/G are Wireless LAN interface cards in the High-Speed WAN Interface Card (HWIC) form factor. These cards provide integrated Cisco Access Point (AP) functionality in the Cisco 1800 (Modular), Cisco 2800, and Cisco 3800 Integrated Services Routers.

 

The HWIC-AP runs Cisco IOS® Software, and provides high-speed connections between individual laptops, desktops, and servers. The features of HWIC-AP include:

  • Virtual LAN (VLAN) support

     

  • Enhanced wireless security

     

  • Comprehensive wireless management capabilities
