The WLSE checks the system periodically. When it finds a system error, it displays a message in the ticker window. The message conveys that something is wrong in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) settings.
The SNMP settings file on the WLSE sometimes gets corrupted. When this happens, various functionality can fail, which is why the message appears.
In order to fix this error, choose Devices > Discover > Device Credentials > SNMP Communities page. This page highlights the entries with errors. Fix or delete these entries.
Note: Choose Save when the changes are made.
An access point can report no write string, even though it has one. This happens when a change is made on the strings and the WLSE fails to report it, even though the WLSE is aware of the change. This can happen in any software.
