To synchronize Cisco Unity Express (CUE) time with Cisco CallManager Express time, configure this on Cisco CallManager Express :
configure terminal ntp master 1 end
Configure this on Cisco Unity Express:
configure terminal ntp server prefer clock timezone [ENTER] (Make the appropriate selections.) end write memory
Reboot the CUE module.
Verify the following on CUE:
show ntp associations show clock [detail]
Depending on your platform, you may have Real-Time Clock (RTC) chip capability. This is a list of routers and the RTC hardware capability:
- C3661, C3662 - Has RTC
- C3735, C3725, C3631, C2691 - No RTC
- C2611, C2612, C2613, C2621, C2651 - No RTC
- C2611XM, C2612XM, C2613XM, C2621XM, C2651XM - No RTC
- C3640, C3620 - No RTC
If your router does not have an RTC chip, it cannot be used as a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server.
